The very first output of motorcycle was made by Willam Harley and Arthur Davidson last 1903 which resulted to Harley-Davidson. The motobike that was built was a racing bike. It was produced in a small shed wooden branded Harley-Davidson Motor Company on the front door. Harley-Davidson were able to create 3 motocycles for the public soon after one year. In 1905 Harley-Davidson wins it’s initial race and employs it’s first employee. 3 years later, they sold the first motorcycle to the Detroit Police Department and was utilized as a police service. H-D built 6 story factory in 1912 then began to export their first bikes to Japan.
H-D became more popular in 1914 and was defined as “The Wrecking Crew” when formally started the national racing circuit. Harley-Davidson then started to sell their motorcycles within the Military in 1917.
In 1918, half of the bikes were shipped to Germany and became the military service in World War. That it was Corporal Roy Holts, the first soldier that used the H-D motorcycle. The H-D became even more successful in 1920, generated 2000 dealers in 67 countries.
Except for the Indian Motorcyle Company, most of the competitors of Harley-Davidson got lost. In 1953, there were only two successful motocrycle companies, the Harley-Davidson and the Indian Motorcycle Company.
Because the world goes in into World War 2, so does Harley return back into Military motorcycle production, and the service school is turned directly into the military motorcycle service school, also referred to as the Quartermaster School for military mechanics. The Harley-Davidson Motorcycle were hardly reached out by the public during this time.
